It’s been a while since i made my last entry here, but, the better i feel the less i have to ramble about. In short:
- I began to run (jogging) a week ago and its really amazing! Never thought i’d like it, plus it helps to reduce smoking. I came from almost one pack cigarettes during shift (!) to now only 5-6 cigarettes per shift. When i am home, i go running, come back and dont need/want a cigarette the whole evening. I am pretty proud and i really think i could completely give up smoking someday.
- I created www.relyonhorror.com and merged www.deadspacehorror.com with it. During holiday break i will also merge www.rehorror.net with this new site. I am back in power, control over everything and most importantly: I can react and act as soon as things/bugs occur.
- My russian is pretty good now and i can build various sentences already.
- So either way, plan is to get wife and kids in the long term, however not going to waste too much time here if it doesnt happen. Preparing for a living that is conform in both Austria and Cyprus.. so i could leave at any time with a big FUCK YOU ALL and a dump truck full of money.
Good times.

There’s this band called “Baroness”. They’re style usually is put into the Sludge Metal category, i however belive to hear alot of other influences and styles covering the whole universe of rock music. Their second full length album entitled “Blue Record” recently hit store shelves and it was only a week ago when i first read about them in a music magazine.
I found them to be interesting and downloaded a few tracks just to immediately order my own copy via Amazon. Yes, they really blew me away! I may write a Short Review some day, in the meantime, be sure to check out some of their tracks if your into this kind of music:
- A Horse Called Golgotha, The Gnashing, Steel that Sleeps the Eye, Blackpowder Orchard, Ogeechee Hymnal
Secondary, after years of refusal i created a Facebook account for the main purpose to connect with users from my sites. The only way i used Facebook before was via their Ad Network, to promote my sites on FaceBook. Let’s see if it can be done without wasting money aswell. Facebook is one of the sites that will lead to a complete overdose of the internet one day. A mess full of “social” people while the streets will get more empty as time goes on.
IMO its time for a Web 3.0 combining what has made the internet that great with small bits of “social networking”. Most sites overdo it these days, the result of too much interactivity/integrity of a site’s userbase usually results in loads of content, albeit too much garbage content.
Until next time, have a nice weekend you brave visitor of this weird blog.
The spiral of life led me to places i previously glanced with absence. Weird days, albeit with a sweet taste combined with some heavy bitterness. Its like winning the Monaco F1 Grand Prix without the prize/champaign ceremony. Maybe its because the driver was cheating, or was too aggressive and caused unexpected accidents due to his enormous will to win the race. In the end he won nothing but evil glances from authorities and “fans”. Apparently something went terribly wrong.
Causing planets to collide, trying to bring down the sun and in the end wanting to take a one-way ticket to the moon. Someone bought the reverse ticket back though and the current mission includes finding the glorious spender. He must be arround somewhere. Near or far.
Look to the other side when you find the time. It may be worthwhile and you may see somebody that reminds you where your coming from. You may not be able to stay at the other side though.. even when this sweet-bitterness taste gets you “addicted”.
Eh, just something i had to get off my chest somehow, sorry if you can’t follow me, its itentional.
Onto clear ramblings: I am getting my new bedroom on November 20th finally
I will have to delay the renovation of the living room until 2010 though. 2009 was a year where i really spent alot of money, new car, new floor, bedroom, life insurance and various other investments resemble my will to support global economy/consumption.. lol. Nah, it just was time to “make” some things fresh and new.
Puh, i also turned 25 these weeks which is kinda… weird. Can’t quite confirm that i reached all my goals i set when i was below my 20’s.
Until next time, take it easy.
Last year a game called “Fallout 3″ has been released. I’ve been awaiting it with anticipation and wanted to purchase it someday, however my fear of not loving games anymore prevented me from doing so. A comrade from work however lent me his copy about a week ago and i must say, i regret not buying it myself the day it hit store shelves last year. Its one of the very very few games that are made for me. Open world, realistic setting/preferably on other planets or end time scenario with alot of freedom for the player. My all time favourite games belong into such categories like Ultima 9, Outcast, Stalker and now Fallout 3. Plus, i started playing it exactly when the first snow (it was early this year indeed) hit us last week. Perfect timing.
Also, my progress in learning the beautiful russian language is moving along quite well. I am now able to build simple sentences and can write (ok) and read (pretty well) already. I am taking it quite serious since my wife has to understand me afterall.., hehe. Not that i can call a russian beauty “my own” yet, i was mainly kidding. I find it to be a very interesting language i simply enjoy to learn properly. At first i wasnt sure if my lazyness would overcome me someday and i skip the course, but i’ve been an avid participant lately, even trying to arrange my shifts to not miss the courses. It flows pretty well and its all free!! God bless Montanwerke Brixlegg.
Thanks for reading!
Holidays are over, guess i can feel it. Alot of work both at work and online, however i had the chance to finish my bedroom before. Now i have to wait another 8 weeks until i get the new furniture.. meh.
I also went to a long overdue health check, a pretty massive one which altogheter lasted around 5 hours. I can happily announce that i am in perfect health. *knocks on wood* It appears my body is very resistant…
Over at reHorror we had the chance to run a nice game give-away competition for RE5 PC. Thanks to GameRiot we’re in the lucky situation to be able to run contests, including prizes, on reHorror now. However, there are still alot of issues, especially in terms of new modules, features, bug fixes with them. The site definitely changed for the worse in terms of quality content thanks to “open blogging” for anyone, on the other hand, this freedom is able to generate heaps of discussions and interactivity between the users. According to Google Analytics the site attracts more visitors since the change.
We’ll see how it goes in the next year.
And to close this minor update, i may create something new soon.. Maybe even related to the niche.
I came back from Cyprus on monday after spending a tremendous two week vacation on the island of love. This year i really had no reason to go back despite one minor thing… my job, lol. We again visited all major places like Paphos, Aya Napa, Protaraz, Ag. Konstantinos and of course Limassol.
I’ve met many interesting and foremost beautiful people therefore it was really hard to leave the place again. However, i am back now and finally started to renovate my flat.. the bedroom is almost finished, plus i started to build a new website for my friend who’s on the way to become a popular writer.
I am short on time, need to get back to the laminat floor now
I had 4 days off to go to the FM4 Frequency festival last week and it was absolutely worth it. Finally a festival with 80% sun and “hotness” (hotness as in many different aspects, haha) The best thing was that there was a river just 2 minutes away from our tents. Here’s an image:

Guess you can imagine how nice it was to hang out by this river all day long. The festival also had some great bands playing. My highlights include: Radiohead, Peter Fox, Mono & Nikitman, The Subways, The Prodigy and Farin Urlaub Racing Team

I’ll never forget the italian and croatian guys besides me during the Radiohead gig who where singing almost every song of them including me. That was truly amazing.
The festival ended with a big bang (The Prodigy) and me loosing my newly bought hat and my 400€ glasses…
And now i finally have my three week vacation where i’ll be spending two of them in Cyprus. I am flying tomorrow
Thanks for reading.

There you have it
Bet you didn’t know we have red grass in Austria! Picture is courtesy of Daniel Zanetti.
apart from the fresh new car, i don’t feel that “fresh” lately. I am totally overworked and cant wait to go to cyprus for 2 weeks. I may aswell hold some form of competition since it seems i can send others there too. More on that at another time.
I’d also like to write a little about Capcom today. I now have realized how big of a damage it was to reveal some Resident Evil 5 spoilers back in the beginning of the year and all thanks to one person mainly. Someone who vanished from the net a short time ago and up until now i didn’t realize how bad of an influence he was for REHorror.net over the years. He always wanted to go the radical way and thanks to my hunger for more visitors, i usually agreed with him in the end. I’ve sent an email to Capcom explaining my behaviour again. They understand, but especially the japanese division hates us now, something i can understand now. In the end, i am very fond that he left on his own so i can move on building a reputation again.
It is time for the new era though, no more bullshit, proper coverage and user interactivity/community. Guess i’ve learned a lesson the hard way. And nowadays it hurts even more hearing that i wasnt only sheduled for a jun takeuchi interview. oh man..i always stress the fact to think for oneself, while i myself sometimes am unable to do so.
On to some other short news i find notable:
- We’ve made a deal with GiantRealm for Dead Space Horror.
- Robert Prosser (www.robertprosser.at) soon is releasing his first book (Happy for him, since he’s a good friend of mine)
- most likely going to frequency festival next week (if rain and mud is predicted i will cancel it, since i am not in the mood to be on 3 total muddy festivals a year.
- missing some people..
I finally got my new car yesterday. Its a white Audi A3 Sportback 2010 edition. I got myself a brand new TFSI engine with 125PS. The driving experience is unbelievable, the grip is enormous and thanks to the 6 gears i can easiely save petrol… if i want to. It even has the new start-stop feature which comes in handy incase your stranded in traffic. You put out the gear, hit the clutch and the engine stops, hit the clutch again and your ready to go again. At first i thought i absolutely dont need something like that, but you can really save some petrol if traffic is standing still. Guess i will switch that off though, i am not saving petrol i am wasting it!
The car is not built to save petrol, its just so much fun to drive it.
Feels good if you can buy something you saved for so hard. All the sunday shifts during the last two years go into that car… ah well, i am a nerd, always been, i rather have a great to drive car than new clothes or anything else. One day i will have a Ferrari or Porsche and i will be driving it naked since i wont have money left for clothes, haha.
Nah, my finances are still stable luckily.
Until next time!
… since i’ve posted a blog for the last time. The reasons are simple, my life is that boring, i dont know what to write about.
Nah, i’ve been to said festival two weeks ago which was absolutely brilliant, however i began to suffer from a cold and had non-stop nightshifts. Time to get in loads of money though, my Audi A3 is coming next week hopefully! Finally!
Oh and i am learning russian as we speak for free. We had this oppurtunity in the factory to properly learn it. Some participants have to learn it for their job, i just jumped onto the train to learn it and get a russian housewife or wife someday.. My father will most likely burry me below an olive tree when i visit him again and am able to speak russian, but not greek. At least russian and greek alphapbet is similar, so i have some advantages when i decide to learn greek aswell.
Now onto rehorror.net. I am fond with my new partner GameRiot, however its not as easy as i expected, but i will keep bothering the guys to change the site to my/the users likes over time.
Its a bit of a “dead brain” time for me, i really need to relax somewhere soon to find new ideas for future projects. Something else, i always wanted to do something in a different niche, however its not easy to leave well known ground to start from zero again. Who knows whats coming in the next years, but even if my hair slowly turns grey (hey, i am greek, its normal!… i guess) that doesnt mean i am getting tired/old of the stuff i do.
Cheers!
